I take no salary.
Nor prisoners.
This bill will not ... should not...pass. If it does it is the end.
Senator Feinstein seems to believe that Freedom of the Press is a "privilege" as opposed to a constitutional right. Credentials? I bear a valid Journalism degree within both Print and Broadcast concentrations from the same accredited university from which hails forth one Christiane Amanpour. In Lovell v. City of Griffin, Chief Justice Hughes defined the press as, "every sort of publication which affords a vehicle of information and opinion."
Our credentials are identical academically, and earned equally in study and internships; career histories admittedly are subsequently subjective. But Congress shall not be subjective in defining one of us valid over the other and violate the Freedom of the Press guaranteed in the First Amendment .
Press, maybe is what is re-defined, not paychecks from whom. Wrong way!
Thirty Helen Thomas's agree.
